Before the Work Begins

  • Scheduling and sequencing — Crews work through homes in a planned order, often based on logistics, material deliveries and weather. Your exact start day may shift depending on the homes ahead of yours and conditions out of our control.

Early Starts / Busy Work Site

Crews usually begin very early to beat afternoon heat, so expect activity and noise early in the morning.

  • Significant noise and vibration — Tear-off and nailing are loud, and you'll feel vibration inside the home, especially on the top floor. This is normal and temporary.
  • A single-day completion for most homes — Many residential roofs are torn off and replaced in one day, though larger or more complex roofs, or hidden damage like rotten decking, can extend the timeline.

Hidden Issues That May Come Up

  • Decking or structural surprises — Once the old roof is off, we sometimes find rotten or damaged wood or additional layers of material that wasn't visible before removal. This will be replaced and corrected but could extend job length.

Safety and Your Property

  • Keep clear of work zones — Stay back from active homes, ladders, and areas where material may fall. Keep children indoors and pets secured.
  • Yard and home protection — We take steps to shield landscaping, AC units, and your property, but moving fragile or valuable items beforehand is a good precaution.

Cleanup and Wrap-Up

  • Magnetic nail sweep — After completion, we run magnets across your yard, driveway, and street to collect stray nails and fasteners.
