Traffic & Parking During Neighborhood Roof Installations
Here's what to expect so you can plan your week:
More vehicles than usual — Each home has its own crew, materials truck, and trailer. With several installations running at once, expect work vehicles parked along both sides of the street throughout the day.
Temporary tight spots — With crews, trucks, and dumpsters present, the street may feel more congested than normal. Two-way traffic is usually still possible, but drive slowly and watch for workers and equipment.
Early start times and late end times — Roofing/Renovation crews typically begin early in the morning to beat the afternoon heat and work after 5 to help complete your project, so expect activity and some noise to start near sunrise and go to sunset.
How you can help things go smoothly:
Leave extra time when coming and going.
Drive cautiously through the work zone.
Find parking away from construction areas.
Keep an umbrella handy for getting to and from your car.
