Exterior Renovations

  1. 1.Identify Special Access Needs: If you need to enter or leave your home during work, or have other access needs, let the onsite project manager know. Most access needs can be accommodated by briefly pausing or adjusting the work.
  2. 2.Prepare Garages: If your garage door is scheduled for replacement, remove vehicles and personal belongings from areas needed for installation.
  3. 3.Move Outdoor Furniture: Relocate patio furniture, grills, bicycles, planters, decorations, and other items away from areas scheduled for work.
  4. 4.Protect Landscaping and Personal Items: Move portable landscaping items and personal belongings that could interfere with workers or equipment.
  5. 5.Close Windows and Doors: Keep exterior windows and doors securely closed during pressure washing, cleaning, and painting activities.
  6. 6.Provide Access to Exterior Walls: Keep walkways, patios, side yards, and other designated work areas clear for carpentry, repairs, and painting.
  7. 7.Prepare Exterior Doors: If your doors are scheduled for painting or staining, remove decorations and keep the doors accessible during the work.
  8. 8.Keep Children and Pets Safe: Keep children and pets away from active work areas, equipment, tools, and freshly painted surfaces.
  9. 9.Coordinate With Our Onsite Project Managers: Our project managers will be onsite and available to work with homeowners as needed. Because most work is relatively light, crews can generally pause or adjust activities to accommodate access needs.
  10. 10.Maintain Access Throughout the Project: Because renovation phases may occur on different days, please keep designated work areas accessible throughout the renovation period. The initial project notice will serve as your notification for all scheduled exterior work.

Interior Renovations

  1. 1.Confirm Access Arrangements: Coordinate with the project team to establish access to your residence for scheduled interior repairs.
  2. 2.Clear Repair Areas: Move furniture, electronics, decorations, and personal belongings away from walls and ceilings scheduled for work.
  3. 3.Remove Wall Decorations: Take down artwork, photographs, mirrors, shelves, and other hanging items near repair locations.
  4. 4.Protect Valuables: Remove fragile, valuable, or sensitive belongings from affected rooms before work begins.
  5. 5.Provide Clear Walkways: Maintain unobstructed paths from the entrance to the work areas for workers, tools, and materials.
  6. 6.Prepare for Dust: While crews will take reasonable precautions to contain dust, homeowners should protect or relocate belongings that may be sensitive to construction dust.
  7. 7.Plan for Room Access Limitations: Certain rooms or areas may be temporarily unavailable while repairs, drywall finishing, texture, or painting are underway.
  8. 8.Keep Children and Pets Away: Keep children and pets outside active work areas and away from construction materials and equipment.
  9. 9.Stay in Contact With the Project Manager: Our onsite project managers will coordinate with homeowners as needed. If you have special access requirements, please communicate them so work can be adjusted where practical.
  10. 10.Allow for Completion of All Work Stages: Once repairs begin, please maintain the agreed access arrangements so crews can return as necessary to complete drywall, texture, painting, and final finishing.
