Before we arrive

  • Clear the driveway and park on the street. We'll have a materials delivery, possibly a dumpster, and crew vehicles, and we want easy access without blocking you in.
  • Move vehicles out of the garage if you'll need them during the day. There will be no garage access and the alleys will be blocked.
  • Any wall hangings or decorations not well secured could vibrate loose, especially on the top floor. We recommend to take down wall decorations, mirrors, and anything on open shelves of value.
  • Cover or remove items in the attic. Dust and small debris can sift down through the decking when the roof is removed; sheets or tarps over stored belongings help protect and keep off debris. This is a normal part of a typical reroof project.
  • Clear the yard around the house. Patio furniture, grills, potted plants, toys, and decorations. Move them into the garage or inside the home so nothing gets damaged by falling material.
  • Secure or temporarily relocate pets. The noise is stressful for them and the site isn't safe to roam.
  • Plan to keep young children completely indoors and away from all work area.
  • If you work from home, plan calls and workdays accordingly. Your home will be under construction.
  • Keep everyone clear of the work zone and the perimeter where material may fall.
  • Moving in and out of your home on construction day is not recommended. Try and plan your day to be primarily out of the home or in the home but limit in and out trips. Caution tape and safety barriers will need to be moved which can be frustrating for you and delay progress.

Garage Access

  • Your garage will only be accessible from inside your home.
  • Do not attempt to open your garage door during the construction process.
  • If you have Ring, Nest, or other remote camera garage door opening systems do not use the remote app to open the door to view work in progress. Protective material is often placed on the garage door and could fall inside.

After we finish

  • We'll do a full magnetic nail sweep of the yard and driveway and clean all trash and debris.
  • Once complete our Project Manager will do a final walk to ensure your property is clean and orderly.
